Job summary

Sheure Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Lorry Driver (GDL) to join our Shah Alam team. This full-time role focuses on safe transport of goods and personnel, timely deliveries, and upholding high safety standards.

You will operate reliable lorries, plan routes, inspect vehicles, and maintain accurate records while communicating with dispatch and customers. A strong driving history and GPS familiarity are essential for daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Lorry driving licence (GDL category).
• Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
• Strong knowledge of traffic regulations, road safety and vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent time management and route planning abilities.
• Professional communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict delivery schedules.
• Clean driving record with a focus on safety and accident prevention.
• Physical fitness to handle loading, securing and unloading of goods as needed.
• Reliability and punctuality in meeting daily responsibilities.
• Familiarity with GPS systems and basic vehicle technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated destinations
• Plan and manage delivery routes to ensure timely arrival whilst adhering to traffic laws and company policies
• Inspect vehicles before and after each journey, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, delivery times and any incidents
• Secure goods appropriately using suitable equipment to prevent damage or spillage during transit
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, traffic laws and company safety protocols
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and assist with routine servicing as required
• Represent Sheure Engineering professionally at all times during customer interactions

As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and workers, ensuring timely delivery whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
