CITY WIDE CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a driver to operate lorries and transport construction materials, tools, and machinery to project sites in Sabah. The role emphasizes safe driving, vehicle inspections, and timely deliveries across multiple sites.
The candidate should hold a valid Malaysian driving licence with a GDL licence, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be willing to travel and work overtime as project schedules require.
Drive company lorries to transport construction materials, tools, equipment, and machinery to and from project sites.
Operate heavy machinery safely according to project and site requirements.
Support construction works at factory and warehouse project sites.
Ensure all construction materials and equipment are properly loaded, secured, and transported safely.
Carry out loading and unloading works when required.
Perform daily inspection of assigned lorries and machinery before operation.
Check tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, hydraulic systems, fuel levels, and general vehicle condition.
Report vehicle or machinery breakdowns, defects, damages, or maintenance requirements immediately.
Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of company vehicles and machinery.
Follow instructions from Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and management.
Coordinate with site teams, store personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors for deliveries and collections.
Ensure materials and machinery arrive at project sites according to the required schedule.
Comply with all road traffic regulations, JPJ requirements, CIDB/site safety requirements, and company safety procedures.
Maintain trip, mileage, fuel, toll, delivery, and vehicle usage records when required.
Assist with general site operations when there are no driving assignments.
Carry out other related duties assigned by management.
Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence suitable for the assigned vehicle.
Valid GDL licence is required.
Experience driving construction lorries is preferred.
Experience operating heavy machinery will be an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience preferred.
Familiar with construction sites, particularly factory and warehouse projects, is an advantage.
Basic understanding of construction materials, machinery, and site operations.
Able to use Google Maps or Waze for navigation.
Good driving record with a strong awareness of road and site safety.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a construction-site environment.
Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and disciplined.
Able to follow instructions and work well with site teams.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required by project schedules.
Willing to travel between different construction sites when necessary.
