Job summary

VS TRANSPORT AGENCY in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a responsible Lorry Driver to deliver goods safely and on time around the region. You will drive a large lorry, handle loading and unloading, and ensure deliveries follow road rules and company procedures.

The role requires a valid heavy vehicle licence (LGV Category 2) and 2–3 years of experience driving a lorry. You should be punctual, safety-conscious, and able to communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive a lorry safely on various routes.
• Load and unload goods and secure cargo.
• Plan routes to ensure on-time deliveries and fuel efficiency.
• Pre-trip and post-trip checks; report issues.
• Maintain simple delivery records (mileage, fuel).
• Follow traffic laws, safety rules, and company policies.
• Update office and customers on delivery status and delays.
• Keep lorry and cargo area clean and tidy.
• Provide polite, helpful service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a lorry safely on different roads and routes
• Load and unload goods, and make sure everything is secured properly
• Plan routes to be on time and save fuel
• Check the lorry before and after each trip and report any problems
• Keep simple records of deliveries, mileage and fuel
• Follow all traffic laws, safety rules and company policies
• Update the office and customers on delivery status and any delays
• Keep the lorry and cargo area clean and tidy
• Handle goods carefully and provide polite, helpful service to customers

What we're looking for

• Valid heavy vehicle driving licence (LGV Category 2 or equivalent in Malaysia) with a clean record
• At least 2-3 years experience driving a lorry in a transport or logistics job
• Good knowledge of Malaysian road rules and safe driving practices
• Able to manage time well and plan routes
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
• Physically fit for long hours of driving and manual loading/unloading
• Able to communicate clearly and politely with customers and colleagues
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and simple repairs
• Comfortable using GPS and phone/radio for navigation and communication
• Bonus: experience with container or hazardous goods transport, or working in a warehouse
