Camidas Foods Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and reliable Lorry Driver to join our warehousing, storage and distribution operations in Melaka. This full-time role requires operating and maintaining our lorries with adherence to safety regulations and company standards.

The ideal candidate has a valid HGV/LGV license, a clean driving record, and a willingness to perform basic warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV/LGV licence for the lorry class operated (Malaysia).
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience in a commercial/logistics setting.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.
• DTC card or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods per delivery schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Load/unload cargo and ensure proper securing during transit.
• Maintain delivery records and obtain customer signatures.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Communicate with dispatch about routes, delays, and incidents.
• Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
• Report damages or defects to management; assist with basic warehouse tasks.

About the role

Camidas Foods Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and reliable Lorry Driver to join our warehousing, storage and distribution operations team. This is a full-time position based in Melaka, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers across the region. As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our vehicles whilst adhering to all safety regulations and company standards. This position is essential to our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Operate lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated destinations in accordance with delivery schedules
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in proper working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately
• Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring goods are properly secured and protected during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including documentation of goods delivered, times, and customer signatures
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies whilst operating vehicles
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route updates, delays and any incidents encountered
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle interior and exterior at all times
• Conduct regular vehicle maintenance and report any damage or defects to management
• Assist with warehouse operations when required, including basic stock handling

What we're looking for

• Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) or LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) driving licence appropriate for the lorry class being operated
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience in a commercial or logistics environment
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
• Digital tachograph (DTC) card or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent knowledge of Malaysian traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to health and safety standards
• Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to work flexible hours including early morning and evening shifts when required
• Familiarity with warehouse and distribution operations is highly desirable
• GPS navigation and route planning experience is advantageous
