Job summary

IHASTEK (MALAYSIA) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Kulai, Malaysia. You will handle import/export shipments, arrange sea/air/trucking transport, and communicate with freight forwarders and service providers to ensure timely delivery.

Training will be provided and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a relevant degree and 2–3 years of logistics experience, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, shipping, import/export, or supply chain operations.
• Experience handling sea, air, and trucking shipments.
• Familiar with import/export procedures, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of COO applications and related customs requirements is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, hauliers, shipping lines, and customs agents.
• Good understanding of container booking, cargo loading, and shipment scheduling.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to work with Production, Warehouse, Procurement and other departments.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle logistics issues promptly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ERP or logistics systems experience is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good command of English for communicating with overseas suppliers, customers, and China HQ.

Responsibilities

• Handle import and export shipments and related logistics activities.
• Arrange sea, air, and trucking shipments according to business requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, hauliers, shipping lines, and other service providers.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and logistics documentation.
• Arrange container bookings, loading schedules, and shipment arrangements.
• Monitor shipment schedules, cargo readiness, and delivery status.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse for timely cargo preparation.
• Handle customs clearance procedures and COO applications.
• Track shipment status and maintain logistics records.
• Monitor logistics costs, freight charges, and related invoices.
• Ensure shipments and deliveries are completed on time and per requirements.
• Resolve logistics issues and support day-to-day operations.
