Vigor Precision (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics & Production Planning Executive to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with overseas partners and service providers. You will support production scheduling and ensure materials availability to meet orders and timelines.
The role requires a Diploma/Degree in logistics or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong coordination, Excel skills, and English proficiency; Mandarin is a plus.
Co-ordinate inbound shipments, mainly by sea freight, including production machinery, equipment, raw materials, spare parts and other goods.
Co-ordinate outbound shipments, mainly by sea/ air freight, according to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
Co-ordinate alternative shipping arrangements when required by customers or business needs.
Liaise with overseas suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, customs agents and transport providers.
Co-ordinate and monitor shipments with the company's appointed logistics service provider.
Check shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, Certificate of Origin and other relevant documents.
Monitor shipment schedules, ETA, customs clearance and delivery status.
Follow up and resolve shipment, documentation, customs or delivery issues.
Check freight quotations, logistics charges and service provider invoices.
Maintain proper import/export and shipment records.
Production Planning:
Support the preparation and coordination of production schedules based on customer orders and business requirements.
Co-ordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and other departments to ensure raw materials and components are available according to the production schedule.
Monitor material availability and incoming shipment schedules to avoid production delays.
Follow up with suppliers and logistics providers on material delivery status.
Identify potential material shortages or delays and highlight them to the relevant departments/management.
Co-ordinate production priorities and delivery requirements with internal departments.
Maintain production planning and material status records and provide updates when required.
Logistics & Import/Export:

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing or a related field.
Minimum 2years of relevant experience in logistics, import/export, supply chain or production planning.
Experience in sea freight import and air freight export will be an advantage.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
Experience dealing with freight forwarders, customs agents, shipping lines, airlines and transport providers.
Good co-ordination and communication skills.
Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Mandarin (Chinese) is an added advantage for communication with overseas suppliers/business partners.
Responsible, organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks and work in a factory start-up environment.
