Mccorry (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Sabah is seeking a Logistics & Supply Chain Executive to own end-to-end shipping, documentation, and logistics activities across the Business Unit, while coordinating closely with our US team to ensure smooth operations.
The role requires hands-on management of orders, export and import documentation, invoicing, and collaboration with finance and service providers; strong English and Mandarin, Excel skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential.
The Logistics & Supply Chain Executive is an integral part of the Business Unit, responsible for contributing to its overall performance and results while being hands-on on the end-to-end workflow covering Shipping, Documentation, and Logistics, and collaborating closely with our US Team to ensure smooth coordination and operational efficiency.
Coordinate and manage shipping, documentation, and logistics activities to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Follow up on sales inquiries and monitor the end-to-end order process, ensuring orders are placed with Purchasing, shipped, delivered, and invoiced to customers accordingly.
Maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers, shipping agents, and other service providers.
Liaise with the Quality Controller on production progress and arrange cargo inspections where necessary.
Ensure all export documentation is obtained, accurately prepared, and submitted within the required timelines.
Liaise with the Finance Department on financing and payment matters where necessary.
Ensure all shipments are adequately insured in accordance with the Company's SOP and international compliance standard.
Monitor vessel arrivals and ensure all import documentation and cargo releases are accurately prepared and submitted to the Customs Broker for customs declaration prior to vessel arrival at the destination port.
Arrange trucking and issue cargo releases to facilitate the movement of shipments to the respective warehouses, where applicable.
Verify service provider invoices and submit them to the Accounts Department for payment processing.
Ensure the proper and timely flow of documents and information to relevant departments.
Attend to operational issues and provide assistance to resolve problems promptly where necessary.
Prepare and maintain a document checklist for the weekly Business Unit meeting.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Preferably with at least 1-2 years of working experience; however, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Fluent in both spoken and written English & Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
Willing to work extra hours when required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Oracle NetSuite systems will be an added advantage.
Able to communicate effectively and demonstrate a proactive approach in problem-solving.
