Job summary

LINERGY POWER SDN. BHD. is seeking a Logistics & Customs Specialist (Import & Export) in Selangor to manage import/export operations, booking, and delivery coordination for lithium-ion battery shipments.

You will ensure compliance with customs and LMW requirements while collaborating with freight forwarders and internal teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field and at least 3 years' experience in import/export, HS codes, and Incoterms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, trade, business or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in import/export logistics, customs, or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, Incoterms, HS codes, and LMW requirements.
• Proficient with SAP/ERP and MS Excel; good communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily import/export logistics operations including shipment booking and delivery coordination.
• Prepare and verify import/export documentation for customs clearance and compliance.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure on-time shipments.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve customs clearance issues and handle exceptions.
• Arrange land, sea, and air transportation, including lithium-ion battery shipments.
• Reconcile freight invoices and process related payments.
• Prepare monthly logistics reports, KPIs, and cost analyses.

Job description

Logistics & Customs Specialist (Import & Export)

Manage daily import and export logistics operations, including shipment booking, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.

Prepare and verify import/export documentation to ensure compliance with customs and LMW requirements.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment.

Monitor shipment status, handle logistics exceptions, and resolve customs clearance issues.

Arrange land, sea, and air transportation, including lithium-ion battery shipments.

Ensure accurate HS Code classification, customs declarations, and duty/tax compliance.

Reconcile freight invoices and customs-related charges, and process payment requests.

Prepare monthly logistics reports, KPI summaries, expense analysis, and support cost reduction initiatives.

Maintain accurate logistics records and support process improvement projects.

Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in import/export logistics, customs, or freight forwarding.

Knowledge of customs regulations, LMW operations, international trade, and Incoterms.

Experience handling land, sea, and air freight; experience with lithium-ion battery shipments is an advantage.

Familiar with HS Code classification and customs declaration procedures.

Proficient in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Able to communicate in English and Mandarin to support business communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
