The role requires 2–5 years in tank farm/logistics in manufacturing, familiarity with SAP, and a strong grasp of stock reconciliation, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of working experience in Tank Farm Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Palm Oil, Edible Oil, Oleochemical, Refinery, Tank Terminal, or Bulk Liquid Storage industry is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of tank farm operations, oil movement planning, inventory management, and bulk liquid handling.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and inventory control processes.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, Quality Management Systems, and Occupational Safety & Health requirements will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily oil movement activities, including tanker lorry receipts, pipeline transfers, flexibag shipments, and isotank operations.
  • Monitor tank utilization, ullage, and storage capacity to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Work closely with Production Planning to ensure adequate oil availability to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with suppliers, transporters, surveyors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain daily movement reports, ullage reports, oil transfer declarations, and inventory reconciliation reports.
  • Verify and process weighbridge transactions, pipeline transfer records, and inventory postings in the ERP system.
  • Ensure accurate stock reconciliation and investigate inventory variances.
  • Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure compliance with operational, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and SHE standards.
  • Liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives within Tank Farm operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce losses, and optimize tank utilization.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Executive (Tank Farm Operations) to join our Logistics Department in Port Klang, Selangor. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement and storage of edible oils within the tank farm to ensure smooth production operations, inventory accuracy, and timely customer deliveries.

Candidates with experience in the palm oil, edible oils, oleochemical, refinery, tank terminal, or bulk liquid storage industry will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily oil movement activities, including tanker lorry receipts, pipeline transfers, flexibag shipments, and isotank operations.
