Job summary

MM Cosmetic SDN BHD in Johor is seeking an Officer / Executive - Shipping & Logistics to manage import/export, customs operations, and documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Logistics, 1–3 years experience, and proficiency with JD Edwards; you will coordinate with brokers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain required.
• Experience in import/export and customs operations preferred.
• Proficient with JD Edwards software (added advantage).
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Willing to liaise with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain import shipping documents (BL, AWB, Invoice, Packing List, Origin, Insurance).
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with customs brokers for clearance.
• Track shipments and update stakeholders on status.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and transporters.
• Monitor vessel schedules and cut-off dates.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers for shipping documents.
• Coordinate with finance for duties and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments.

Job description

Officer / Executive - Shipping & Logistics role focused on import/export and customs operations within manufacturing, transport and logistics. The position involves managing import documentation, coordinating shipping and logistics activities, liaising with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

Prepare, review, and maintain import shipping documents such as Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, and Import Licenses / Permits (if applicable)

Ensure all documents comply with customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies

Coordinate with customs brokers/clearing agents for smooth customs clearance

Track import shipments and update internal teams on shipment status

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and transporters

Monitor vessel schedules, ETAs, delays, and documentation cut-off dates

Arrange delivery of goods from port/airport to warehouse

Liaise with overseas suppliers for timely receipt of correct shipping documents

Communicate with finance/accounts team for duty payments, freight invoices, and reconciliation

Maintain accurate records of import shipments and documentation

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or similar qualification

Computer literate with knowledge in JD Edwards Software (added advantage)

At least 1-3 years working experience (knowledge in Trading is an added advantage)
