Job summary

PSA BDP Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to process customer orders, register jobs in the Meridian system, and support daily operational efficiency at our Kuantan site.

You will ensure accurate data entry, assist with customs declarations, monitor container movement, and coordinate with transporters and port authorities to keep shipments on schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in logistics / freight forwarding operations.
• Familiar with customs declaration procedures and port systems.
• Experience using logistics systems (Meridian preferred).
• Basic understanding of import/export documentation.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for processing customer orders and coordinating operational activities from job creation to completion. The role ensures accurate data entry, customs declaration, port system submission, container movement monitoring, and billing support. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth documentation flow and regulatory compliance while supporting daily operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

A. Order Processing & Job Creation

• Receive and verify customer shipping instructions and documents.
• Open and register jobs in the in-house system (Meridian).
• Ensure accurate data entry of shipment details and customer information.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation records.

B. Customs Declaration & Compliance

• Prepare and declare customs forms in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Submit declarations and monitor status until approval is obtained.
• Liaise with customs authorities or brokers when clarification is required.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

C. Port & Container Monitoring

• Submit ISD (Import/Export Shipping Declaration) in the port system.
• Monitor container movement from release until gate-in at port.
• Coordinate with transporters and warehouse teams to ensure timely movement.
• Follow up on any delays or discrepancies.

D. Billing & Administrative Support

• Verify shipment details for billing accuracy.
• Prepare billing instructions and support invoicing process.
• Assist in job closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational and billing records.

E. Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with customers, transporters and port authorities.
• Provide shipment updates when required.
• Escalate operational issues to supervisor when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in logistics / freight forwarding operations.
• Familiar with customs declaration procedures and port systems.
• Experience using logistics systems (Meridian preferred).
• Basic understanding of import/export documentation.

• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Good planning and time management skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple shipments simultaneously.
