Gapima is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Malaysia to plan, coordinate and manage logistics activities across multiple locations, ensuring cost-effective and compliant operations. You will handle payments for customs duties and taxes, coordinate with vendors, and expedite deliveries to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Professional qualifications in Freight Forwarding or Logistics are a plus.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Superior level (advantage of exposure to the logistics and freight forwarding environment).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage logistics activities across multiple locations while meeting business requirements with compliance.
• Prepare, coordinate and process the payment for Customs duty, GST and/or SST, and advance payments to vendors for submission to finance.
• Manage ad-hoc and urgent logistics requests without interrupting operations.
• Monitor freight forwarding performance.
• Manage documents uploaded in Web PILS.
• Expedite delivery of materials and services as required by the COMPANY.
• Ensure compliance with statutory inbound/outbound shipment requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity of information; comply with company guidelines and regulations.
• Represent company to deal with local authorities (customs/OGA).
• Coordinate with liners/freight forwarder detention/demurrage.

• Plan, coordinate and manage logistics activities spread across multiple locations separated by wide geographic regions in the safest and cost effective to meet COMPANY business requirements while ensuring compliance with COMPANY established policies, procedures and regulatory requirement, practice of good gorvenance, and integrity in the overall processses and practices to support operations.
• Prepare, coordinate and process the application of payment for Customs duty, GST and/or SST, advance payment to COMPANY's vendors/sub vendors for submission to COMPANY's finance in order to facilitate expediting process.
• To manage ad-hoc & urgent request of logistics with no interruption to operations.
• To manage and monitor freight forwarding performance.
• To manage and monitor documents uploaded in Web PILS as per requirement.
• To expedite on the delivery of materials & services as required by the COMPANY.
• Compliance to statutory requirement for inbound and outbound shipment.
• To maintain confidentiality, integrity and sensitivity of information and uphold strict compliance to work processes, guidelines, procedures, and regulations set by COMPANY and authorities at all times.
• Represent company to deal with local authorities (i.e., customs/OGA) - for day-to-day escalation.
• Coordinate with the liners/freight forwarder detention/demurrage.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Professional qualifications in Freight Forwarding or Logistics are a plus.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Superior level (advantage of exposure to the logistics and freight forwarding environment).
