Job summary

Tanjung Marine Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Supervisor with 3–5 years in freight forwarding and 1–2 years of supervisory experience. The role requires strong Port System and DagangNet knowledge, plus proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

The successful candidate will oversee shipment coordination from export to import, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate documentation while guiding a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• 3–5 years freight forwarding experience with exposure to customs brokerage and 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Port System, DagangNet, documentation, permits, HS code classification, OGA and customs procedures.
• Proven track record dealing with regulatory agencies and port authorities.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Good communication and coordination skills; able to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving abilities; able to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for customers on shipment enquiries and updates, resolve complaints, delays, or issues promptly, maintain strong client relationships.
• Coordinate end-to-end shipment process (export/import/transshipment), ensure customs compliance and documentation, monitor movement, and liaise with warehouse and transport teams for cargo handling.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documents and system entries, handle customs clearance coordination and documentation, ensure compliance with import/export procedures and Incoterms, maintain proper record-keeping.
• Handle shipment delays, cargo damage, or customs issues; provide solutions to minimize disruption and update stakeholders.
