Job summary

Shipco Transport Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Accounts Coordinator to support billing, invoicing and month-end processes in Penang. You will liaise with Operations to verify shipment costs and ensure accurate revenue recording, while maintaining orderly documentation and files.

The role suits fresh graduates with accounting basics and strong Excel skills, with potential exposure to logistics software and freight forwarding practices. Based in Georgetown area on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant experience in logistics or freight forwarding is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with accounting systems or freight forwarding software is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised, responsible and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with the Operations team on missing shipment details or supporting documents.
• Ensure all shipment costs and revenue are recorded in the accounting system.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, debit notes, credit notes and other accounting documents.
• Check shipment records and supporting documents to ensure accurate billing.
• Verify freight costs, revenue and other shipment-related charges.
• Monitor unbilled shipments and outstanding invoices, where applicable.
• Assist in preparing accounts reports and schedules for management review.
• Support month-end closing and audit requirements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the superior.
