Job summary

Yokogawa Electric (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Executive to manage daily shipment execution and order management. You will coordinate with customers and suppliers, prepare shipping documents, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/ Degree in Logistics or a related field, possess strong communication and teamwork, and have 2–3 years of experience. SAP or Ariba knowledge and SSC exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prefer 2–3 years in a similar logistics role or SSC environment.
• Knowledge of SAP or Ariba is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process local and overseas air, sea, and road shipments.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers for import/export instructions.
• Negotiate freight charges with forwarders and approve rates.
• Prepare tax invoices and shipping documents; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review inventory, backlogs, and overdue billing; support audits.

Job Summary:

Responsible for timely daily shipment order execution and order management related duties. The role involves booking and shipment coordination, liaising with various stake holders for warehousing and transportation, shipping document preparation, and regulatory custom and trade compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive and process local and overseas air, sea, and road shipment:

- Co-ordinate with customers and suppliers for import and outbound shipping instructions

- Negotiate freight charges and rates with forwarders/packers for approval

Verify and process logistic invoices & payment request

Process and send Tax invoices to customers via email or customers' portal

Review inventory holding, backlog and follow up on overdue billing.

Prepare COO documents and submit to Chamber of Commerce for processing

Attend to statutory and compliance audit (ISO Audit, Internal Audit, J-SOX Audit & Singapore Custom Audit)

Review customer orders for accuracy and completeness and make sure orders are processed incompliance to order entry procedures and export control compliance, etc

Handle and respond to issues such as service inquiries, customer complaints, problem resolution, etc. and work with relevant departments to resolve it

Job Requirement:

Degree/Diploma in Logistic or Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or any business study

Prefer 2 to 3 years working experience in similar field

Experience in a Shared Services Centre (SSC) environment is preferred

Knowledge of SAP system and Ariba system would be an added advantage

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Self-motivated, independent and able to work in team
