Job summary

PEC Malaysia is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation between dormitory and sites, and to organize driver schedules in line with job orders. You will verify vehicle and operator details, coordinate with workshops for maintenance, monitor delivery quality, and liaise with suppliers to improve cost efficiency, ensuring timely arrival at training centers and sites.

Responsibilities

• Possess adequate knowledge on legal requirements related to the vehicles and equipments in line with Traffic Police & LTA rules and regulation.
• Undertake to arrange all the schedules for the transportation between dormitory and sites.
• Undertake transportation arrangement from HQ to respective training centers according to the list schedule by LND to ensure timely arrival at training center.
• Update the vehicle number for all company vehicles including outsourced vehicles and also head counts for transportation between dormitory and site in an accurate manner.
• Update the details of all the driver/operator (such as IC, driving license, crane operator license, D & A test cert, site access passes) and ensure that it is accurate and timely.
• Receive job order from all departments and sites.
• Schedule and assign the driver/operator according to job orders received.
• Ensure the readiness of all vehicle and equipment for operational use and also the certifications are valid.
• Liaise closely with Workshop personnel for the maintenance and inspection of the vehicles including ROV inspection and also PE inspection in a timely manner.
• Monitor and ensure the goods delivered are in good quality and in a safe manner.
• Ensure all the rental equipments are inspected before delivery to sites.
• Coordinate and provide the required particulars and also data of the vehicles and operator/driver as per site requirements.
• Liaise/ negotiate with suppliers and coordinate with PRO to achieve better pricing and cost efficiency.
• To carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate Supervisor or higher management.
