Logistics Coordinator – Electrical Construction

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and tools against packing slips and purchase orders.

Coordinate on-site material deliveries and internal distribution to crews and work areas.

Stage materials in designated laydown areas to support construction sequencing and schedules.

Manage site access and delivery scheduling.

Communicate delivery timelines, shortages, damages, or discrepancies to project leadership.

Meet with drivers, Forwarders to collect Bills of Lading (BOL), sign, date, and upload documentation.

Identify potential changes in delivery schedules, offload workflow, and staffing issues due to weather, equipment, or other delays.

Materials Coordination & Inventory:

Maintain accurate on-site material inventory, including tracking usage, shortages, and reorders.

Label, organize, and secure materials to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement.

Support material transfers between job sites, storage containers, or warehouses as required.

Assist with inventory counts, audits, and material reconciliation.

Manage laydown yards and stock inventory.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe material storage areas, containers, and laydown zones.

Support jobsite housekeeping standards in compliance with company, client, and safety requirements.

Remove debris, packaging, and unused materials to keep work areas production-ready.

Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with, logistic team members, Project Managers, and Procurement to anticipate material needs.

Provide regular material status updates and reports to project leadership.

Foster and maintain relationships with vendors, construction contractors (EPCs), and other partners.

Follow all safety policies, site-specific rules, and quality standards.

Planning & Process Improvement:

Develop project start-up Construction Logistics plans for all new construction projects.

Plan site layout for effective movement of people and materials; oversee waste and traffic management.

Create SOPs and procedures for managing/handling materials on jobsites.

Address logistical challenges and issues to prevent delays and disruptions to the project.
