Job summary

OPW Malaysia is seeking a Compliance Executive to oversee import/export procedures, customs compliance and international consignments from Shah Alam. You will coordinate with customer service, manage documentation, and ensure adherence to MITI, MIDA, COO, MAFTA and Form E requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics or supply chain (or related field) is required.
• 5-6 years of logistics and compliance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of import/export customs and compliance procedures.
• Experience with Oracle/ERP or similar inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Arrange transport timely for purchases and deliveries.
• Prepare consignments with size, options, time and cost data; request quotes for outsourcings.
• Know INCO terms, payment methods and tax exemption.
• Calculate costs for consignments for project management and overseas coordination.
• Coordinate international consignments with customer department; negotiate and place transport orders.
• Check freight invoices against price agreements before shipment.
• Handle import/export procedures, customs documentation and sign off exports.
• Ensure compliance with customs, MITI, MIDA, COO, Form E, MAFTA.
• Monitor shipment progress and update customer service.
• Document deviations and adjust as needed.
• Inform customer service of progress; act as point of contact for changes.
• Enter data into systems accurately and timely for stakeholders.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Arranging transport in a timely manner when purchase and delivery take place
• Preparing consignments in terms of size, options, available time and costs by gathering information regarding quotation or order, and requesting quotes for the outsourcings of consignments
• Well verse knowledge in INCO term and payment method & Tax exemption
• Making cost calculations for consignments at the request for the project management of company and intercom abroad
• organizing and coordinating international consignments in consultation with the customer department and negotiating and placing transport orders.
• Checking incoming freight invoices according to price agreements freights prior to shipment arrangement
• Responsible all import and export procedures, authentication and customs procedures, and documentation and signing off export documentation for customs.
• Strong knowledge in compliance requirement such as Custom department, related government bodies (MITI, MIDA), COO, Form E, D and MAFTA.
• Monitoring the progress of shipment movement and timely update customer service.
• Documenting and identifying deviations and making adjustments if necessary.
• Informing customer service on progress and acting as a point of contact in the event of changes and problems.
• Processing and archiving the various data and entering it correctly, up to date and in a timely manner in the appropriate systems in order to make the information available to all stakeholders.
• Undertaking otter special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required by superior.

• 5-6 years of relevant experience Logistics & compliances in manufacturing industry.
• Possess Strong knowledge in import and export customs & compliance procedures.
• Knowledge in Oracle/ERP system or any inventory system.
