Job summary

POLYPLAS SDN. BHD. in Penang is seeking a Logistics and Customs Manager to oversee the entire logistics operation, ensuring timely delivery of parts to customers and adherence to import/export and customs regulations. You will coordinate with forwarders, identify tariff codes, and prepare monthly and yearly reports, while monitoring costs and training staff.

KEK certification, leadership, and MS Office proficiency are required. POLYPLAS SDN. BHD.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of handling customs matters and pass KEK course.
• Leadership, analytical and strong work ethic with ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall management of logistics operations.
• Ensure smooth flow and delivery of parts to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with import/export, customs regulations and legal requirements.
• Prepare monthly and yearly reports and K1, K2, M1, M2 as required.
• Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics system, imports or customer concerns.
• Coordinate with declaration, loading, haulage, warehouse, and shipping sections for efficiency.
• Identify customs tariff codes and update workflow; close jobs upon completion.
• Coordinate with forwarders on vessel/air freight bookings.
• Maintain monthly/yearly customs reporting and audits.

Job description

• To be responsible for the overall management of logistics and its operations.
• To ensure smooth flow and delivery of parts to meet customers requirements.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal requirements.
• Responsible for K1, K2, M1, M2, daily and weekly report.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistic system, imports or customer issues.
• Ensure that the jobs are carried out efficiently through close monitoring and follow up with declaration section, loading section, haulage section, general transport, warehouse section and shipping agent.
• Responsible to identify custom tariff code, update the system on each job work flow, submit job for closing once the job is completed.
• To coordinate with forwarders on vessel/air freight bookings.
• Responsible for Monthly/ Yearly Custom all custom reporting.
• Responsible for LMW license audits & renewal.
• Prepare an accurate monthly and yearly report for submission to the LMW Customs Officer in a timely manner.
• Perform compliance audit on permits and forms associated with the LMW regulations.
• Prepare application for customs exemption for import/export.
• To ensure right usage of documentation.
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within the budgets.
• To provide guidance and on-the-job training for department staff.
• Ensure agreed reports are submitted in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:-

• Must competent person to handle custom wise and pass in Executive Custom Agent Course (KEK).
• Must have leadership skill, analytical skill and work ethic, ability to manage team and organize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Being able to communicate well both verbally and written.
• Must be proficient in MS Office application skill (Excel, Power Point, Word & Outlook)
