Job summary

SEGi University seeks a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying to teach and supervise undergraduate students, review and develop course content, and conduct research activity in a vibrant academic setting.

Qualifications

• Possessed a Master in Quantity Surveying and Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registered with BQSM as PQS/CQS
• Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English
• Good understanding of MQA requirements and Outcome-Based Education (OBE)
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms such as MS Teams, Moodle, or equivalent systems
• Strong interest & expertise in teaching and research & be involved in scholarly activities
• Minimum 3 years teaching experiences and 5 years industry experiences
• Have a passion to do Research and publications
• Industrial experience is an added advantage

Responsibilities

• To review, update and develop lesson plans, scheme of work, lectures/ practical, tutorials, assignments, class discussion in compliance with the syllabus.
• To conduct lectures, tutorials, discussion to facilitate teaching and learning.
• To supervise final year project/dissertation and to supervise Undergraduate students' project(s).
• To monitor and report student progress in term of academic performance and attendance.
• To set and mark the assessments.
• To provide academic counselling and pastoral care to all students.
• To conduct research and produce publications or other research output.
• To assist in the review of the curriculum and accreditation of QS programme(s).
• To apply for research grants from external funding for research purposes.
• To participate in any administrative functions of the Faculty or University-related activities.
