We are looking for a Learning & Development (L&D) Officer to join our Human Resources team.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating employee learning and development programmes across the organization. You will work closely with department managers, technical trainers and external training providers to ensure our training programmes are relevant, effective and aligned with business, quality and HSE requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR/L&D professional who enjoys training facilitation, employee development, data analysis and working closely with different departments in a manufacturing environment.
Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) through competency assessments, performance reviews and discussions with department managers.
Develop and maintain annual training plans, calendars and schedules.
Work with departmental technical trainers to identify training priorities, target groups and learning objectives.
Coordinate and take the lead in internal training activities, onboarding programmes and refresher training.
Design, prepare and deliver training modules where required.
Facilitate training related to manufacturing processes, quality standards, safety practices, 5S, ISO and equipment handling.
Coordinate external training programmes and liaise with trainers and training providers.
Ensure training programmes are conducted effectively and according to schedule.
Maintain accurate and complete training records, including:
Training materials
Pre- and post-assessments
Assessment results
Trainer evaluations
Training effectiveness reports
Certificates
Ensure training documentation is properly maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
Support HRD Corp training grant applications, claims and related documentation.
Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments and post-training performance indicators.
Analyse training results and prepare reports for HR and management.
Recommend improvements to training programmes based on evaluation results and operational feedback.
Support the implementation and rollout of LMS and e-learning platforms.
Prepare and update training manuals, SOPs, visual aids and digital learning materials.
Support digital learning initiatives across the organization.
Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives through targeted training.
Ensure training programmes are aligned with company policies, quality standards and HSE requirements.
Support the development and improvement of SOPs and work instructions where required.
Support performance appraisal cycles, KPI setting, coaching and evaluation documentation.
Consolidate performance data and prepare management summaries.
Follow up on underperformance cases and improvement plans.
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Education, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, training or technical training, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with HRD Corp processes, training grants and training provider engagement.
Strong presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with LMS/e-learning platforms will be an advantage.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical standards and safety practices will be an added advantage.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
