Job summary

MISC Group in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Project Planner to develop and manage schedules for EPCIC FPSO/FSO projects, ensuring alignment with Client timelines and project strategy.

You will use Primavera P6 and MS Project to review planning deliverables, monitor milestones and coach the team to prevent schedule slippage while delivering on CAPEX expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years in Oil and Gas or equivalent upgrade experience.
• Experience as planner in EPCICO FPSO/FSO projects across full project cycle.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules to suit Client requirements.
• Coordinate and prioritize planning activities per project strategy with Head of Projects Controls and Planning & Project Manager guidance.
• Review development, maintenance and reporting of project programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Develop and review schedules for the complete project cycle (EPCIC) to meet Client timelines.
• Prepare and review planning deliverables for technical proposals ensuring bid compliance.
• Implement and monitor planning packages including manpower planning and deliverables to monitor execution against plan.
• Monitor and control project progress to prevent schedule slippage and meet milestones.

Job description

• Develop project schedule to suit Client's requirement.
• Manage, coordinate and prioritize the project plan as per the project strategy with the guidance of Head Projects Controls and Planning & Project Manager.
• Manage and review the development, maintenance and reporting of project programme by utilizing planning and scheduling software i.e. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manage and review the development of schedule comprising the complete project cycle i.e. EPCIC, meeting Client's timeline.
• Manage and review the preparation of planning deliverables for technical proposal submission ensuring compliance of technical bid as per Client's requirement.
• Manage and review the preparation and implementation project planning package, including manpower planning and deliverables, to monitor project execution is in accord to agreed planning package.
• Monitor and control all project planning schedule to ensure work progress is according to the plan, meeting the project milestones and deadlines while preventing schedule slippage.
• Manage and review the project updates including consolidation of departmental progress for management reporting.
• Identify and manage project planning issues related to project slippage and CAPEX risk which may cause project slippage and budget overrun.
• Coach and motivate incumbent for better understanding in producing daily work and higher performance to achieve OBU's business objectives.

REQUIRMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 9 years in Oil and Gas.
• Minimum 7 years as planner and solid and extensive working experience in similar position preferably with EPCICO of FPSO/FSO projects for entire project cycle.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any), Business, Management and related disciplines
• At least PMP, PMI-SP, PSP Certificates or CPE
• Registered Graduate Members of Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) is an advantage.
