Job summary

China State Construction Engineering Corporation in Selangor seeks a skilled Project Planner to oversee planning and scheduling across multiple projects. The role involves CPM analysis, schedule development, and timely reporting in English and Chinese.

You will coordinate with departments to consolidate fortnightly progress reports and support EOT claims where needed. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or higher in a construction-related field and at least 3 years’ experience in project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project planning or multi-project coordination.
• Familiar with Malaysian PM practices and standard forms (PAM, FIDIC).
• Knowledge of CIDB, DOSH, BOMBA requirements for construction.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Strong command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling across all projects.
• Coordinate with departments to compile fortnightly progress reports.
• Develop and monitor Master Schedules, milestones and weekly/monthly schedules.
• Perform CPM analysis and time impact assessments.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and provide mitigation reports.
• Review contractors' schedules for alignment with baselines.
• Support EOT claims and delay analysis with Contracts/Commercial teams.
• Attend coordination meetings and consolidate portfolio-wide reporting.
• Prepare baseline/updates and reports in English and Chinese when required.

Description

• Responsible for overseeing planning and scheduling across all projects.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to compile and consolidate fortnightly progress reports from multiple project sites.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor Project Master Schedules, Key Milestones, and Monthly/Weekly Construction Schedules in line with contract requirements.
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis, schedule logic development, and time impact assessments for all projects.
• Monitor overall project progress, identify delays, and provide early warning reports with recommended mitigation measures.
• Review contractors' and subcontractors' schedules and ensure alignment with project baseline programmes.
• Support Contracts and Commercial teams in Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis across projects.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide consolidated reporting on portfolio-wide schedule performance.
• Prepare and submit baseline schedules, updated schedules, reports, and presentations in English and Chinese when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project planning, construction management, or multi-project coordination.
• Familiar with Malaysian project management practices and standard forms of contract (PAM, FIDIC).
• Knowledge of CIDB, DOSH, and BOMBA requirements related to construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
