Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the engineering project planning, budgeting, resources, quality, safety and scheduling.
• Develop project strategy and implementation plans including contract and supplier management.
• Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance and industry standards adherence.
• Control costs and budgets; perform cost estimation, control and change management.
• Communicate progress, issues, changes and safety matters to clients and authorities.
• Lead the project team across planners, engineers, construction crews and safety teams.

Company Overview:
We are LCP, a company specializing in providing EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) services. As a leading provider in the oil & gas industry, we are looking for an experienced Engineer/Project Manager with expertise in pipelines, civil engineering, and the oil & gas sector to join our team

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility (or assist the Project General Manager) for the entire engineering project, covering planning, budgeting, resource allocation, quality, safety, and scheduling.

Develop overall project strategy and implementation plans, including contract management, supplier management, and coordination of subcontractors/contractors.

Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and adherence to standards (e.g., ISO, oil & gas industry standards).

Control project costs and budgets: cost estimation, cost control, and change management.

Communicate with clients/owners and government authorities, providing regular updates on project progress, issues, changes, health, and safety matters.

Ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery; resolve issues and conflicts as they arise.

Lead and manage the project team, including planners, engineers, construction crews, quality, and safety teams.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Project Management preferred.

Experience: Proven EPCC project management experience, with strong exposure to pipeline or oil & gas projects. Demonstrated ability to manage large teams, budgets, and contracts.

Skills: Proficiency in project management tools/software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP/ERP, Project Controls tools). Solid knowledge of contract law, change management, and risk management.

Strong leadership and communication skills; able to coordinate across departments and teams and liaise effectively with clients, owners, subcontractors, government, and regulatory bodies.

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; strong technical English skills and ability to read technical documents/reports in English for international projects.

Excellent time management, problem-solving abilities, and resilience under pressure.
