Job summary

MISC Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced planning lead to oversee planning deliverables, lead tender planning, and coordinate project schedules across the full lifecycle of FPSO/FSO EPCIC projects.

You will manage risk, review schedules, and ensure on-time handovers, with access to Primavera P6 and MS Project. A minimum of 8 years in similar roles and relevant certifications is required; this is a 2-year contract.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of planning experience in EPCIC or FPSO/FSO projects.
• Recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or engineering.
• PMP / PMI-SP / PSP / CPE certifications.
• Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate / professional body membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning deliverables & leadership to suit business and client requirements.
• Coordinate planning resource requirements and comprehensive planning package deliverables for project execution.
• Oversee development, review and maintenance of integrated schedules across project lifecycle; identify critical path activities.
• Support project execution to oversee contract and commercial schedule management.
• Prepare weekly/monthly project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

• Oversee the planning deliverables & functional Leadership & Capability Development to suit business and Client requirements.
• Manage, coordinate and prioritize the project plan through project lifecycle from proposals phase (e.g RFI, Pre-Q, Market Survey) until handover as per the project strategy with the guidance Head Projects Planning & Reporting and Project Manager.
• Manage and review the development, maintenance and reporting of project programme by utilizing planning and scheduling software (i.e. Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Departmental management
• Lead planning activities during tender and proposal development.
• Coordinate planning resource requirement and comprehensive planning package deliverables for project execution.
• Oversee development, review and maintenance of integrated Level 1 to Level 4 project schedules covering the complete project lifecycle. Identify & highlight activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and progress.
• Support project execution to oversee contract and commercial schedule management.
• Prepare weekly/ fortnightly/ monthly project progress reports for internal (Management) and if applicable for external (Client) stakeholders.

REQUIREMENT & EXPEREINCE:

• Broad or knowledge of concept, principles and practices in Floater Production Technology, Floater Operation and Maintenance, Floater handling and Floater Terminal Services covering all areas of EPCIC. Operations, Demob and Abandonment experience will be an advantage.
• Min 8 years of solid and extensive work experience in similar position preferably with EPCICOD of FPSO/ FSO projects.
• Relevant recognized qualifications in Quantity Surveying or in any engineering background. At least PMP, PMI-SP, PSP Certificates or CPE.
• Preference: Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate / Registered with recognized professional body.
