Job summary

Phonelab Group Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled mobile phone technician to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on smartphones. You will perform component-level repairs and motherboard troubleshooting with precision, and assist with retail operations as needed.

Able to work 6 days a week, you communicate clearly with customers, stay up-to-date on new devices, and maintain accurate service records. Fluency in English and multi-language is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Technical proficiency in mobile phone hardware repair and software troubleshoot.
• Hands on experience handling motherboard issues.
• Experience in retail operation is an advantage.
• Fluency in English / multi-language is an added advantage.
• Excellent customer service with clear communication of technical issues.
• Computer literacy (basic).
• Able to work 6 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones using diagnostic tools.
• Perform component-level repairs including soldering on circuit boards.
• Replace damaged components (screens, batteries, cameras, ports) ensuring quality.
• Troubleshoot software issues, flashing OS and debugging as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate repair solutions clearly.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used and customer interactions.
• Stay up-to-date with mobile technologies and repair techniques.

Responsibility

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones, using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify the root cause of problems.


• Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and desoldering of microchips, connectors, and other surface-mounted devices on mobile phone circuit boards.


• Replace damaged or malfunctioning components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.


• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including operating system errors, application malfunctions, and connectivity problems, using software flashing and debugging techniques.


• Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical issues and repair solutions clearly and professionally to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.


• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions, using a computerized system to track inventory and manage service requests.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile phone technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
