Phonelab Group Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a mobile repair technician to diagnose hardware and software issues, perform motherboard repairs, and replace damaged components on mobile devices. The role requires accuracy, discipline and the ability to work six days a week.

Fluency in English or additional languages is an advantage for customer and colleague communication; retail experience is welcomed, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones.
• Perform component-level repairs including soldering/desoldering.
• Replace damaged components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and ports.
• Communicate technical repair details clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones, using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify the root cause.
• Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and desoldering of microchips and connectors.
• Replace damaged components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports, ensuring proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot software issues with flashing and debugging techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair solutions clearly.

• Computer literate (Basic).

• Replace damaged or malfunctioning components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.


• Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including operating system errors, application malfunctions, and connectivity problems, using software flashing and debugging techniques.


• Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical issues and repair solutions clearly and professionally to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.


• Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions, using a computerized system to track inventory and manage service requests.


• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile phone technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
