Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Engineering Leader to oversee the Engineering Department and ensure smooth daily operations. You will plan, assign and monitor engineering work to meet production requirements, providing technical support and driving improvements across processes and tooling.

The role requires coordinating NPIs, process validation, and engineering changes, while maintaining documentation, KPIs and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Engineering Department and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plan, assign and monitor engineering work to meet production requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production, machines, tooling and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Oversee the maintenance, modification and improvement of stamping dies, jigs, fixtures and tooling.
• Manage machine installation, commissioning and engineering projects.
• Coordinate new product introduction (NPI), process validation and engineering changes.
• Ensure engineering documents, drawings, specifications and records are properly maintained.
• Monitor engineering KPIs, prepare reports and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing and other departments to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO/IATF requirements, and Safety & Health regulations.
• Train, guide and develop engineering team members to improve technical competency and performance.
• Manage engineering budgets, equipment, contractors and suppliers effectively.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
