Job summary

MSR Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer – Secondary Systems, SCADA & Grid Compliance with 12+ years of experience.

You will lead design, testing and commissioning of secondary systems across renewable energy projects, guide a team of engineers and coordinate with utilities and regulators. The role is HQ-based in Malaysia with travel to project sites as required, requiring strong knowledge of SCADA/EMS, relay protection and grid connection standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong experience in secondary electrical systems, protection and control, SCADA, EMS, automation and grid‑connected power systems
• Experience with utility‑scale solar PV, BESS, substations, power plants or EPCC projects
• Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia as a PEPC is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead design, review and integration of secondary electrical systems, protection and control, SCADA, EMS and associated communication networks
• Coordinate preparation of technical documentation including schematics, logic diagrams and interface documents
• Lead design, integration and commissioning of SCADA, EMS, RTU, gateway and HMI systems
• Plan and execute Grid Compliance Tests (GCTs) and related testing activities
• Coordinate with project teams, utilities and authorities on grid connection requirements
• Mentor and manage engineers, review deliverables and ensure quality and compliance
