Job summary

MSR Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power systems and electrical design for renewable energy projects. Role includes detailed engineering, coordination, testing and site support for solar PV, BESS, substations and grid interconnection.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in electrical engineering, strong design skills, and familiarity with Malaysian regulations and IEC standards. Willingness to travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant electrical experience.
• Experience in detailed electrical design, power systems, and substations.
• Knowledge of grid interconnection, generation, and EPCC projects.
• Familiarity with HV substations and transmission systems advantageous.
• Experience with solar PV, BESS, and TNB infrastructure advantageous.
• Knowledge of Malaysian electrical regulations and IEC standards.
• Experience in design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Proficiency with ETAP or equivalent software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for detailed drawings.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and review of renewable energy projects and grid interconnection.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and schematics.
• Review equipment specifications and vendor drawings.
• Perform power system studies and relay settings considerations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and site teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assist in FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards development.
