Job summary

Hitachi Energy Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Lead Engineer in Petaling Jaya to steer engineering strategy for critical infrastructure projects such as GIS substations, BESS, and E-Mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of direct working experience in electrical engineering, especially high voltage switchgear, power transformers, LV switchgear and protection relays.
• Experience handling cable, cable trays and earthing packages.
• Familiar with IEC and IEEE standards related to equipment and packages.
• Ability to review system study documents such as load flow and short-circuit analyses.
• Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete technical deliverables in line with the project schedule and quality standards.
• Drive engineering activities on the project, coordinating with Project Management, Supply Chain, HSE and other teams.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and suppliers.
• Provide technical support for installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Develop cost-effective, high-quality solutions within budget and contract requirements.
• Support tendering by ensuring technical compliance and value-added solutions.
