Job summary

Tan & Khong Chambers, a boutique law firm located in USJ, Selangor, is seeking a driven Business Development Executive to grow the client base. You will identify opportunities, reach out to potential clients via calls, WhatsApp, email, and networking, and introduce our lawyers and practice areas to prospects.

The role emphasizes proactive lead sourcing, relationship-building, and collaboration with lawyers to convert leads into engagements.

Qualifications

• Confident, outgoing and comfortable speaking to new people.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive in sourcing leads rather than waiting for enquiries to come in.
• Comfortable with sales, cold calling, networking and follow-ups.
• Able to understand and communicate the firm's services clearly.
• Target-oriented and motivated by results.
• Prior experience in sales, business development, client acquisition or similar role is an advantage.
• Experience in the legal industry not essential.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and sourcing potential clients and new business opportunities.
• Proactively contacting prospective clients through calls, WhatsApp, email, networking and other appropriate channels.
• Introducing the firm, our lawyers and our areas of practice to potential clients.
• Understanding potential clients’ needs and identifying opportunities where the firm may be able to assist.
• Following up with prospective clients and developing relationships to convert leads into actual clients.
• Maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients and keeping track of follow-ups and business development activities.
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with businesses, entrepreneurs and other potential sources of referrals.
• Working closely with the lawyers to ensure that suitable leads are properly followed up and converted into engagements.
