Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd is seeking a technically skilled engineer to monitor and maintain AGV/LGV systems across production facilities. You will perform system start-ups, address interruptions, and troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring safety and reliability of automated material handling.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic, or Automation Engineering and 1–3 years in automation or robotics environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 1-3 years of experience in AGV/LGV systems, automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLC, sensors, control systems, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure smooth operation of AGV/LGV systems across production areas.
• Perform start-up checks and respond to system interruptions, blockages, or communication failures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of sensors, navigation systems, batteries, and related components.
• Support software updates, system configuration changes, and automation improvement projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for technical support and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and participate in risk assessment activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, incident logs, and system performance reports.

Job description

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.

1-3 years of experience in AGV/LGV systems, automation, robotics, or manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of PLC, sensors, control systems, and electrical troubleshooting.

Familiarity with SCADA, industrial communication protocols, or automated systems is an added advantage.

Able to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Willing to work shifts and support breakdown or emergencies when required.
