Job summary

Guocera Tile Industries, part of the Hong Leong Group, is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist in Malaysia. You will manage full AP functions, process supplier invoices, prepare payments, reconcile creditor accounts and post accurate journal entries to the ERP system.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a degree in accounting or equivalent, proficiency in Excel, and exposure to ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics/AutoCount).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in accounts payable, general ledger and month-end closing.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, AutoCount or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full spectrum of accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation and supplier reconciliation.
• Verify and process supplier invoices accurately and timely.
• Perform creditor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare schedules and reports required for management reporting and audits.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties on finance-related matters.
• Assist in statutory audit, tax and compliance requirements.
• Support implementation and enhancement of finance processes and internal controls.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.

Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
