Job summary

Prisma Laboratory in Malaysia seeks a laboratory analyst to manage and execute tests within ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines. You will supervise a small team, operate GC-MS/ICP-MS/HPLC, and collaborate with R&D on new methods to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers. Fresh graduates are welcome, and the position is based on-site in Johor Bahru, with safety and regulatory compliance at the core of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform and execute tests within the assigned analytical scope per approved procedures.
• Supervise laboratory personnel to ensure workflow efficiency and safety compliance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot GC-MS, ICP-MS and HPLC instruments for accurate results.
• Collaborate with R&D on extension projects, including method development and tech evaluations.
• Assist QA/QC chemists in validating methods and calculating measurement uncertainty per ISO/IEC 17025.
• Ensure all activities are documented and aligned with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Provide training on new procedures and protocols.

• 1. Responsible for managing and executing tests within the assigned analytical scope in accordance with approved procedures and standards
• 2. Supervise and provide guidance to a team of laboratory personnel to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to safety protocols, and timely delivery of results.
• 3. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high-sensitivity analytical instruments (e.g., GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPLC) to ensure accurate and reliable test outcomes.
• 4. Work closely with the R&D team on extension scope projects, including method development, feasibility studies, and technical evaluation of new testing parameters.
• 5. Assist QA/QC chemists in the validation of existing methods and the calculation and verification of measurement uncertainty in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• 6. Ensure all activities are properly documented and aligned with regulatory, quality, and accreditation requirements.
