Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a laboratory-focused candidate to assist in receiving, labeling, and preparing samples. The role involves sample preparation, weighing for digestion, and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment.

Responsibilities include lab stocking, basic filing, and ensuring compliance with safety rules and SOPs; independence and teamwork are valued in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, or Diploma qualification in Laboratory Technology, Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample preparation, sample handling, and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling, preparing, weighing, and recording samples.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, labeling, and preparing samples.
• Conduct sample preparation (cutting, segregation, divider & mixer).
• Weigh samples for digestion process.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lab, including cleaning glassware and equipment.
• Undertake basic administrative tasks such as filing.
• Monitor lab supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Perform sample digestion for analysis.
• Comply with all lab safety rules and company policies
