Job summary

myNEWS HOLDINGS BERHAD is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Malaysia to support testing, sampling, and routine analyses within the lab environment.

Responsibilities include preparing samples, performing tests, recording results, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in science, food technology, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and label samples for testing as per SOPs.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests (moisture, pH, microbiological, or chemical analysis).
• Maintain accurate records of test results and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Assist in the calibration and cleaning of lab equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment.
• Monitor inventory of lab supplies and report needs for replenishment.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols in the laboratory.
• Support R&D team in testing new products and improve existing products shelf life extension
