Job summary

myNEWS HOLDINGS BERHAD is seeking a Quality Assurance Executive in Kuala Lumpur to develop and implement SOPs for food safety and quality management. You will conduct regular store audits, inspect facilities, and ensure compliance with standards while maintaining meticulous documentation.

The role involves supplier audits, updating procedures, and supporting internal/external audits. Travel to various store locations is required to uphold food safety and quality across our retail network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Technology or related field is often required.
• Previous experience in food safety and quality assurance, including auditing, QA/QC or food production.
• Experience in convenience store industry or similar retail food environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with HACCP and ISO 22000 is beneficial.
• Proficiency in auditing techniques including on-site inspections, documentation review, and compliance assessment.
• Keen attention to detail to identify potential food safety and quality issues.
• Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with store management and staff to promote a culture of food safety and quality.
• Willingness to travel to different convenience store locations for audits.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry.

Job Requirements

Abachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Technology or a relatedfield is often required.

Previousexperience in food safety and quality assurance is typically required. This mayinclude experience in auditing, quality assurance, quality control or foodproduction.

Experiencespecifically in the convenience store industry or similar retail foodenvironments can be a plus.

Familiaritywith international food safety standards like HACCP and ISO 22000 isbeneficial.

Proficiencyin auditing techniques including conducting on-site inspections, reviewing documentation,and assessing compliance with food safety and quality standards.
