Job summary

Ouji is seeking a proactive Learning & Development professional to build employee capability and drive business performance in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead training programmes, onboarding, leadership development, and performance management processes, collaborating with multiple departments to deliver measurable impact.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in L&D or HR, with strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication and an understanding of HRDC registrations and claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or HR.
• Familiarity with HRDC registration, applications and claims.
• Experience developing onboarding/induction programmes, product knowledge programmes and leadership development initiatives.
• Experience supporting Management Trainee, talent development and succession planning programmes.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work with different departments and senior management.
• Good facilitation and presentation skills for training briefings and performance management sessions.
• Proactive, organised and execution-focused with strong follow-through on multiple L&D initiatives.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin would be an added advantage.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, manufacturing or fast-paced commercial environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual training needs analysis.
• Develop annual L&D calendar, including technical and soft-skills programmes.
• Coordinate internal and external training.
• Manage training providers.
• Manage HRDC application and claim.
• Develop functional competency programmes (Product Knowledge training).
• Develop onboarding/induction programmes.
• Support talent development and succession planning.
• Manage and follow through Management Trainee Programme.
• Coordinate annual performance cycle.
• Manage KPI-setting process.
• Conduct performance review briefing.
• Monitor completion, support calibration.
• Identify development gaps from performance reviews.
• Measure attendance.
• Measure application/behaviour change.
• Track business impact where possible.
