Secret Recipe Cakes and Café Sdn Bhd in Selangor is looking for a kitchen team member to support daily operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking according to recipes and kitchen standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and utensils.
• Receive, store and rotate ingredients; monitor stock levels.
• Support timely preparation of orders during peak service.

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting with daily kitchen operations, food preparation, cleanliness, and maintaining food safety and quality standards to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking according to recipes and kitchen standards.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and handled according to food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Check food supplies and assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients.
• Follow portion control and minimize food wastage.
• Support timely preparation of food orders during busy service periods.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any equipment problems.
• Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Chef or Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or F&B experience is an advantage but not always required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Team-oriented, responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
