Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Associate Project Controller Protège Trainee in Kuala Lumpur. Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are invited to apply for a role supporting project control tools, budgets, timesheets, and financial forecasting.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Procurement and Finance, developing governance and reporting skills while progressing on low-complexity projects and parts orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, business, engineering, project management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of relevant experience welcomed.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project control tools, dashboards, and financial trackers.
• Review PR requests against approved budgets and flag exceptions.
• Check project timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
• Support monthly project financial closing, reporting, reconciliations, and forecasts.
• Assist with cost monitoring, budget tracking, and financial analysis.
• Prepare reports and ad hoc analyses for Project Controllers/Managers.
• Coordinate with PMs, Procurement, Finance and other stakeholders for governance compliance.
• Help improve project control processes and reporting tools.
• Progressively manage low-complexity projects and product/spares orders for development.
