Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Technical Support Protege Trainee to support project activities and testing.

The role requires a bachelor degree in engineering and familiarity with MS Office; AutoCAD and other engineering software are a plus, with opportunities to work on rail signaling and safety solutions. You will work closely with engineers and customers in an international environment, with a secure permanent position and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications or Mechanical Engineering.
• Networking / Data Communication knowledge preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills; AutoCAD and other engineering software beneficial.
• Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions.

Technical Support Protege Trainee (Ref.No. R1012710)

You will enjoy having these responsibilities:

• Assist the Technical Engineer for the Project activities.
• Use your knowledge of circuit diagrams and data analytics
• Facilitate workshops and other meetings, including documenting agendas, minutes and following up where appropriate.
• Interact with the customer side
• Support testing activities.

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Mechanical Engineering), Postgraduate qualifications are welcome but not essential.
• Networking / Data Communication System knowledge would be preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills and skill of AutoCAD and other software (ex: relevant Engineering Software) which will be the benefit throughout this role.
• Maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the job and in relations with others
• The skills to grasp complex technical concepts quickly, including process flows and policies.
• The ability to collate information and produce comprehensive reports.
• An eye for detail and the ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions.
• The skills to plan and organise workload and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
