Job summary

HITACHI RAIL STS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial accounting, reporting and controls.

You will maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and support budgeting, forecasting and cash management while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and professional qualifications (ACCA/CPA/CA/CIMA) are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• ACCA/CPA/CA/CIMA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience with SAP systems and financial reporting tools in a large international org.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure internal controls.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and credit management.
• Assist audits and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
