Job summary

Hitachi Rail STS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Junior Project Engineer Protege Trainee in Kuala Lumpur. You will assist the project manager to coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning across railway projects.

The role involves reviewing technical drawings, supporting design reviews, and helping manage testing activities on site. Fresh graduates with internships are welcome to apply and may travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
0–3 years of railway/transportation/engineering project experience; fresh graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager in day-to-day activities and coordinate engineering, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications and support design reviews.
Assist in testing, site inspections, and system acceptance testing; record results and address non-conformities.
Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and progress reports with proper document control.
Support commercial & contract activities including tracking changes and cost monitoring.
