Mankind Solution SDN BHD is seeking a talented Junior Interior Designer (3D & Drawings) to join our dynamic Design & Architecture team. This is a full-time position based in our Sri Petaling office in Kuala Lumpur. As a Junior Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and compelling 3D visualisations. You will work collaboratively with senior designers and clients to bring interior spaces to life, contributing to the creative vision whilst ensuring technical precision and client satisfaction. Key responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D floor plans, elevation drawings, and technical documentation for interior design projects using industry-standard software
- Develop high-quality 3D models and visualisations to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
- Assist in the conceptual design phase by researching design trends, materials, and colour schemes relevant to project briefs
- Collaborate with senior designers and architects to refine design proposals based on client feedback and project requirements
- Prepare accurate material and furniture specifications for projects, ensuring alignment with design intent and budget constraints
- Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure consistency and accessibility for the design team
- Participate in site visits and client meetings to gather information and communicate design ideas effectively
- Support the coordination of design elements with contractors and suppliers during project implementation phases
What we're looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design discipline
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D design software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar applications
- Strong skills in 2D drawing software including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent programmes
- Solid understanding of interior design principles, spatial planning, and design aesthetics
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and visualisations
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and respond positively to constructive feedback
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and material specifications is desirable
- Previous internship or project experience in interior design is advantageous
