Job summary

Lean Giap Group of Companies invites a motivated Business Development Executive (Mandarin-speaking) to join our plastics trading team in Penang. You will identify opportunities, build long-term customer relationships, and support the sales team with effective solutions for customers’ business needs.

You will engage with suppliers and key stakeholders, conduct market and competitor analysis, and contribute to sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years in BD/sales acceptable.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Fluent English; Mandarin preferred for Mandarin-speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in plastics and chemicals.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis for trends.
• Support sales strategies to achieve targets.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and negotiate deals.
• Coordinate with internal teams to fulfil orders and manage inventory.
• Monitor market pricing and demand for planning.
• Represent the company at exhibitions and events.
• Provide after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sales reports and propose improvements.

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Junior Business Development Executive to support our business growth within the plastics and chemicals industry. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term customer relationships, and supporting the sales team in delivering solutions that meet customers’ business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the plastics and chemicals industry.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities.

Support the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.

Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment, inventory availability, and customer satisfaction.

Monitor market pricing, customer demand, and industry developments to support business planning.

Participate in exhibitions, industry events, and networking activities to strengthen market presence and expand business connections.

Resolve customer enquiries and provide responsive after-sales support to maintain positive and long-term customer satisfaction.

Prepare sales reports, analyse performance, and provide updates and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, as well as candidates with 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or trading.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an interest in building relationships with customers and business partners.

Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude towards developing a career in business development.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Good command of spoken and written English.

Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and business partners.

Nice to Have

Exposure to or interest in the plastics, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
