Job summary

Lean Giap Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. in Georgetown, Penang, is seeking an accounting assistant to support AR/AP processing, GL maintenance, and month-end tasks.

You will handle basic accounting duties, reconcile accounts, assist with reports, and work under the Senior Finance Lead. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with strong Excel and English/Malay skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or a Degree with a major in Accounting.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Well-spoken in English and Bahasa Melayu.

Responsibilities

• Perform and familiarize oneself with all Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) accounting functions.
• Assist in maintaining the General Ledger (GL) by reconciling AR and AP details with control accounts, and preparing fixed asset depreciation, prepayments, and accruals.
• Reconcile general and bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
• Maintain accounting controls by following established policies and procedures.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, month-end and year-end closing, E-invoice and SST reports, and supporting compliance requirements.
• Assist the Senior Finance Lead in preparing financial reports on a regular basis.
• Assist with other finance-related projects as required.
• Process and prepare financial and business forms for purposes such as checking account balances, facilitating purchases, and other related activities.

Job Purpose

Supporting the management, processing, and troubleshooting of various accounts, transactions, and financial reports, while contributing to the day-to-day accounting functions of the Company. The position may also support the Company’s Group Companies, including the parent company and associated and related companies, where required.

Duties and Responsibilities
