RODA LAND SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented finance professional to manage daily AP/AR, reconciliation, month‑end close, and tax compliance within a hybrid work setup.
You will use advanced Excel and Power BI to build dashboards, assist in financial reporting, and collaborate with auditors. A Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting or related fields is preferred, with 2+ years of experience.
Daily Accounts: Handle day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including issuing invoices and processing vendor payments.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, management dashboards, and performance analysis using Power BI and Advanced Excel.
Credit Control: Monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue customer payments, and manage collection processes.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, vendor statement reviews, and intercompany balancing.
Month-End Support: Assist the Finance Manager with month-end closing activities, accruals, prepayments, and preparing financial statements.
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation, filing, and submission of SST (Sales and Service Tax) returns and corporate tax requirements.
Expense Management: Process, verify, and reconcile employee claims, petty cash, and corporate credit card expenses.
Fixed Assets: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including tracking depreciation and disposals.
Audit & Compliance: Prepare schedules and documentation to liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and statutory bodies.
Record Keeping: Maintain proper, systematic filing of financial documents, receipts, and tax records.
General Admin: Assist with basic payroll processing, EPF/SOCSO/EIS submissions, and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Data & Reporting: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and Power BI for creating financial dashboards and automated reporting.
Software Skills: Familiar with accounting system, Autocount.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (or professional qualifications like ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
Experience: more then 2 years of working experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial data reporting.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and spot trends.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry, numbers, and financial reconciliations.
Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict month-end deadlines.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and present insights clearly.
Language: Good command of written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage)
