Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kedah seeks an experienced Process Engineer to maintain IC-Substrate, HDI-PCB, assembly and IC-packaging equipment. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, reduce downtime and drive equipment readiness.

You will lead troubleshooting, implement PM plans, monitor spare parts with purchasing, and support new equipment releases. Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years in related industries are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years in Process engineering in IC-Substrate/HDI-PCB/Assembly/IC-Packaging or related industry
• Knowledge of project management, data evaluation and designed experiments (DOE)
• Knowledge of quality tools including SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP
• Strong analytical and attention to detail
• Good stress, communication and negotiation skills
• Team player with leadership potential
• Willing to work on weekends/public holidays as per duty roster

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to guarantee equipment availability and quality output
• Reduce downtime and ensure smooth operation of equipment
• Lead equipment troubleshooting and repair with quality focus
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Track PM quality and survival rate and manage spare parts with Purchasing
• Maximize equipment performance through continuous improvement participation
• Support new equipment setup, installation and release activities
• Coordinate with Hook-up engineer to meet start-up schedules
• Identify risks and define mitigation plans
• Coordinate training for department staff
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Candidates with any of the below equipment experience are welcome to apply:

• laser ablation/drilling systems,
• electroplating and chemical deposition equipment,
• automated optical inspection (AOI) and automated visual inspection (AVI)
• Wet process tools/ Etching

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and execution all activities that are necessary to guarantee the defined equipment availability and quality output for the plant.
• Decrease the equipment downtime and make sure that the equipment able to run smoothly.
• Lead equipment troubleshooting and repair in permanent consideration of quality requirements.
• Develop and implement effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment.
• Track and control of PM’s quality and survival rate
• Identified critical spare part availability and work closely with Purchasing Department for the spare part and supplier management.
• Maximize equipment performance or productivity through actively participate in Continuous Improvement Plan
• Participate and engage in new equipment setup and release activities (hook-up, equipment installation, specs review, supporting material purchase, HVM readiness, etc.).
• Responsible to coordinate with Hook-up engineer and other related counterpart to ensure that equipment hook-up and release able to meet the start-up schedule.
• Identify risks in responsible area. Escalate and define mitigation plan to the risk identified.
• Coordination and execution for continuous training for employees within the department

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering/ related field from university or higher technical college
• Min 5 years of Process engineering’s experience in IC-Substrate, HDI-PCB, Assembly, IC-Packaging or related industry.
• Knowledge of project management, data evaluation and design of experiments
• Knowledge of quality tools like SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, etc.
• Good analytical skills with attention to details.
• Good stress management skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Team spirit (able to be part of team and team leader as well).
• Willing to work during weekend / public holiday according to the duty roster.
