Job summary

DK Motor Sdn Bhd in Perak is seeking a proactive Body & Paint Workshop Supervisor to drive efficient workflow, ensure timely, high‑quality repairs, and deliver outstanding customer service at all times.

You will assist the Body & Paint Manager, assign jobs to technicians by skill, monitor progress, conduct final inspections, and coordinate with claim advisers to update customers on completion times.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Body & Paint Manager in ensuring timely and accurate repair work and quality workmanship.
• Organize and assign incoming tasks to Body & Paint Technicians according to skill level.
• Monitor workshop operations and recommend improvements to align with Proton Malaysia's requirements.
• Ensure a job order is issued for every job and perform final inspection before delivery.
• Communicate with Claim Advisors and Body & Paint Technicians on workload capacity and completion times.
• Lead and supervise the Body & Paint team, including performance management and development.

Job description

To assist the Body & Paint Manager in implementing and maintaining an effective work flow and processes in the workshop to ensure all work is completed timely and accurate, according to the customers' expectations and to deliver a high standard of customer service at all times. To communicate and to work closely with the Claim Advisors and Body & Paint Technicians to deliver quality repair and service on time, every time.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Body & Paint Manager in the smooth running of the Body & Paint workshop by delivering quality workmanship for the repairing and servicing of vehicles within a timely manner

Assist in monitoring and evaluating all workshop operation processes and to make recommendation where applicable to improve the system in line with Proton Malaysia's requirement

Organize and assign all incoming works to the Body & Paint Technicians according to skill level in order to maximize quality and overall efficiency

Ensure that job order is issued for every job and to monitor all repair works in progress and to conduct final inspection prior to releasing of cars to the customers at the promised time

Communicate arising problems to immediate Superior, relevant personnel and to liaise with HMSB's Body & Paint Department for assistance on technical or parts issue

Manage, lead and supervise the Body & Paint Technicians to achieve their daily objectives. Also responsible for performance management, coaching and development of the team

Monitor the progress of each allocated job and to regularly update the Work Control Chart

Communicate regularly with the Claim Advisors and Body & Paint Technicians on the capacity of workload and estimated completion time or on any delays, to ensure the customers are kept up to date at all times

Carry out quality checking, ordering of parts, audit and compliance as well as safety matters in the workshop. Also responsible to ensure that Honda Standards are adhered to at all times

Carry out road tests and to manage queries from the customers including contacting the customers on their vehicles' problems

About you

Expected to be at the office latest by 8.45am, to enable you to serve the customers promptly
